Your Name and Your Word

Your Name and Your Word

"You have exalted above all things your name and your word." Psalm 138:2

The exaltation of God's name above all things is a given. The exaltation of God's word may need some explanation.

The supremacy of the name of Christ is what all history is moving towards. This is why you are called to pray daily and consistently for the ultimate exaltation of his name.

Like God's name, God's word is also the manifestation of God himself. When God speaks he reveals himself, and as you receive his word, you encounter God in his revelation.

The name of God doesn't lead you to an encounter with God; his name is an encounter. So a word from God does not lead you to an encounter with God; a word from God is an encounter.

Every name of God is a word of God. Every name of God and word of God is a revelation of God. And every revelation of God is an encounter with God.

There is nothing of greater worth than an encounter with God. Therefore God has exalted above all things his name and his word.

Hallelujah! Father God, I join you today in exalting above all things your name and your word!
