Take Authority In The Name

Take Authority In The Name

"Paul...said to the spirit, 'I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.' And it came out that very hour." Acts 16:18

Most Christians know how to pray in the name of Jesus. But do you know how to take authority over demons in the name of Jesus?

When you pray, you stand under the authority of the name. When you confront evil spirits, you stand in the authority of the name.

While ministering in the city of Philippi, the apostle Paul recognized that a demonized young woman was hindering the effectiveness of their ministry. He saw a demon in the young woman and knew he needed to confront that evil spirit. He also knew the authority he had because of the name.

He came under the authority and stood in the authority of the name of Jesus as he commanded the evil spirit to come out and to be gone once and for all. And it came out that very hour.

When you face demonic opposition, it's time to exercise your authority in the name of Jesus.

First, come under the authority of the name, and then stand in the authority of the name as you command those spirits to be gone once and for all.

Father God, I come under the authority of the name of Jesus. And in the authority of the name of Jesus, I pause in prayer.

Satan, right now I bind you and command you to be gone from me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Never return to me again. I am free from you now and forever.
