Dwell In The Name
"God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him." 1 John 4:16
Love is God's name--his activating name.
Love doesn't lead you to an encounter with God; Love is an encounter. In fact, more than an encounter, Love becomes your home, your dwelling place.
Imagine a life where love pervades every relationship, every motivation, every conversation. This may sound inconceivable, but this is the life God promises.
Let's admit, this life of love is not humanly possible, but it is possible with God, because it's powered by the Name. It's powered by Love.
This does not call for self-effort. It calls for Love. Whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
When you make Love your dwelling place, Love will make you its dwelling place.
Love, I call you by name. Love, come and dwell in me. Dwell in me now. Dwell in my home, my marriage, my workplace, my community. Dwell in me that I may dwell in you.
