"God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!'" Galatians 4:6
At first Abba may not roll naturally off your tongue. You may need to work at it. But stick with it--God sent his Spirit into your heart to teach you how.
There is no more revolutionary Name that will destroy your old, sinful, prideful, rebellious nature faster than Abba
Your old nature argues, "But Abba is so childish, unsophisticated, simplistic. It makes me feel foolish!" Yes, it is true--Abba exposes the arrogance within you, and that's a good thing.
Abba is a name of intimacy. Dependence. Authority. Respect. Abba defines the heart of a healthy relationship with God.
Abba is the name Jesus uses when he talks with Father, and it's the name he teaches you to use.
When you pray, don't try to sound sophisticated. God wants you to sound related. He wants you to call him Abba
.
Abba Father, I come in Jesus name to humble myself and express my complete dependence on you. Abba. Daddy.
