The Spirit of Jesus Cries, Abba
The Spirit of Jesus Cries, Abba
"And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!'” Galatians 4:6-7
Don't make prayer more complicated than it needs to be.
When Jesus prays, he keeps it simple--he simply says, Abba, Father. Everything else in prayer flows from childlike intimacy with Abba.
Not only does Jesus use the name Abba when he prays, but so do you when the Spirit of Jesus teaches you to pray.
When you realize your prayer life is weak, you don't need to try harder. Self-effort is not the answer. Ask the Spirit of Jesus to help. Ask him to take control of your prayer life. He will teach you the power of Abba.
This is your privilege as a child of God.
Spirit of Jesus, take control of my prayer life. Teach me the power of Abba. I love you, Abba.
