Abba Is Home
Abba Is Home
“Abba, Father, all things are possible for you.” Mark 14:36
To say ABBA is home means two things, and they are both equally profound.
ABBA is home means that he is always accessible, that no matter where you are, or what challenges you're facing, ABBA is always ready to help.
But to take it a step further, ABBA is home literally means that ABBA is your home, your due North, your center, your place of belonging, your refuge, the one who shapes your identity.
Jesus knew that ABBA is home.
Even as a 33-year-old Jesus called God ABBA, the surname a toddler would use with his dad.
ABBA is where Jesus came from. ABBA is where Jesus was going. ABBA is who Jesus was consistently with. And Jesus knew that with ABBA all things were possible. No matter what challenges Jesus faced, he knew that ABBA was always with him and able to bail him out.
God wants you too, to know that ABBA is home. He wants you to know that he is always accessible and always ready to come to your rescue. But perhaps more importantly, he wants you to know that he is your home, you're due north, your center, your place of belonging, your refuge. ABBA is ultimately the only one who will shape your identity.
ABBA is his name, and ABBA is home.
Loving Father, ABBA Father, reparent me now in Jesus name.
