Majestic Name

Majestic Name

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:1,9

Nothing brings more dignity to your name than the dignity of His Name. When you declare the majesty of His Name, you affirm the source of dignity for yourself.

The word majesty is the Hebrew word adir, which means excellent, famous, noble, gallant, and superior. This word is chosen in both the first and last sentences of Psalm 8 to describe the Name of the Lord our God.

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:1,9

Whether you are starting your day or wrapping it up, this declaration of majesty to God's Name is appropriate. Take time to focus your admiration on the Name, and the Holy Spirit will give you appropriate words to express your honor.
