Jesus Only
Jesus Only
This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him! Luke 9:35
If you want to encounter the manifest presence of God, focus on Christ.
When Jesus ascended the mountain of transfiguration, He invited Peter, James and John to join Him. This was far more than a fitness hike. Jesus was inviting them up on the mountain for one purpose—to pray (See Luke 9:28). While they were praying, the glory cloud of God’s manifest presence covered the mountain, and a voice out of the cloud declared, “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to Him!”
What happened to Peter, James and John in prayer is a pattern that God has repeated through history—when we pray, we pray toward an encounter with the manifest presence of God in Christ. As we encounter the manifest presence of God, we always encounter Christ.
The Spirit of God pointed to Jesus—“this is my Son, my Chosen One, listen to Him!” The Holy Spirit always points to Jesus.
When you seek Christ, you never know how He will manifest Himself, but one thing you can count on, He always does manifest His presence.
Father God, today I seek Christ in all His fullness.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Marshall Islands and Nebraska.
This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
