Fear Not
“Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things!” Joel 2:21
If what you see on the news-feed causes you to fear, God has a promise for you.
Fear not is not only a command, it is a promise based on the fearless character of God.
I can promise you one thing. Regardless of what is happening in the world around you, right now God is fearless. God is fearless, not because he is out of touch with reality, but because he sees things more clearly than you do.
God is fearless for the Lord has done great things! God is fearless because he is currently doing great things. God is fearless because he is about to do great things.
The reason you are fearful is because you don’t see things the way God does.
The reason you can fear not, be glad and rejoice, is because, when you shift the focus from the way you see things, you will see things the way God sees things.
Loving Father, I repent. I renounce fear and I shift my sights on you, the Lord my God. I am glad and I rejoice in you today.
