Jealous For The Land
“The Lord became jealous for his land and had pity on his people.” Joel 2:18
If you are saddened by what you see taking place in your nation, and if you weep over the land, be encouraged— God is saddened with you.
God loves your land more than you do. It should encourage you that he is jealous for his land. This is a God-promise for you because it is rooted in God’s character— in that fact that he loves your land so much, he is jealous for it, and he has pity on the people who live in the land with you.
Take the promise of God’s fierce and jealous love as a promise for you today.
Loving Father, I declare your jealous love for my land. Have pity on your people in this land in Jesus’ name.
