Standfast Love To Thousands Of Generations
“But showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.” Exodus 20:6
Don’t underestimate the purposes of God to bless you and your children to a thousand generations. This is a God-promise for you that is rooted in God’s character.
When God spoke the ten commandments, he embedded in his law a bright, shining promise that, while he visits the iniquities of fathers on their children to the third and fourth generation of those that hate him (Exodus 25), he shows steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
It is easy as parents to fall in the rut of simply praying for survival— for the next house payment, the next crisis, the next issue. It is all-too-easy to lose sight of the fact that God not only wants to bless your children, he wants to bless your children to a thousand generations. Loving Father, I declare your steadfast love over my children to a thousand generations in Jesus’ name.
