Childrens’ Blessing
“Jacob called his sons and said, ‘Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you what shall happen to you in days to come.’” Genesis 49:1
There is perhaps nothing more significant that you can do for your children than bless them. Your children are waiting for your blessing, and your blessing will make a difference in their lives.
When Jacob gathered his twelve sons in order to bless them, it became an example for all parents (and spiritual parents). Jacob’s blessings over each of his children were unique, specific, appropriate, honest, and life-giving. God wants you to give to each of your children a blessing that is unique, specific, appropriate, honest, and life-giving.
Take time now to speak a blessing over each of your children. Do it now and do it often in the days to come.
Loving Father, I speak over each of my children a blessing now in Jesus’ name…
