The Spirit of Adoption
But you have received the spirit of adoption as sons, by which we cry ‘Abba! Father!’ Romans 8:15
When you pray, don’t waste your time praying from a spirit of rejection. The orphan spirit has no place in your prayer life. God the Holy Spirit has not given you a spirit of slavery so that you fall back into fear of rejection. Instead, He has given you a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters. If you are in Christ, you are loved as Christ; you are accepted as Christ; you are welcomed as Christ.
Take your rightful place as a child of God right now, and reject once and for all the spirit of rejection.
Father God, I renounce the spirit of orphan. I throw off the spirit of rejection. I receive from You the spirit of adoption. I am a child of God. Because I am in Christ, I am loved as Christ. I belong in Your presence, and I will live in Your presence.
