Empowered for Ministry
Empowered for Ministry
Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Isaiah 6:8
There are normally five elements to an encounter with Christ. The first is high worship. The second is deep repentance. The third is forgiveness and freedom. The fourth is being filled with the Holy Spirit. The fifth is being empowered for ministry.
When Isaiah encountered the manifest presence of God, he was led in high worship and deep repentance. Before his encounter was complete, however, he was enlisted into God’s service, called, validated, commissioned and sent out.
Every encounter with the manifest presence of Christ is a form of re-commissioning into service. Too often when we encounter God’s manifest presence, we mistakenly think the encounter ends with us. No way! Every encounter is intended to thrust us forward on mission with God.
Today, when you encounter Christ, allow Him to re-commission you.
Father God, I receive my reenlistment in Your service. Fulfill Your faithful call on my life, in Jesus’ Name.
