“Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” Matthew 21:9
Some promises are worth claiming and some promises are worth declaring. Hosanna! is a festive declaration of God’s salvation. It means God has saved us, God is saving us, and God will save us.
Hosanna! was a perfect word-choice for the crowds along the Via Dolorosa when Jesus rode the colt into Jerusalem, because Christ was coming to provide complete salvation for you and me.
Hosanna! is a promise of God rooted in his character.
Hosanna! is a perfect word for you to declare over unsaved family and friends today.
Loving Father, I take the word Hosanna! and declare it over…(mention pre-Christian family and friends by name) in Jesus’ name.
