Promise Not Fate

Promise Not Fate

“Ask, and it will be given to you.”
Matthew 7:7

A promise from God is the antithesis of fate. Fate is the unfolding of inevitable events; a promise from God is the unfolding of supernatural events.

Every promise from God is an invitation into a loving relationship where there is an interaction with God.

Fatalism is impersonal, mechanical, and dehumanizing. Fatalism is death. A promise from God is personal, adventuresome, life-giving, and engaging.

And this is precisely why your love-relationship with Father God is based on a promise, not on fate.

When Jesus invites you to ask and you will receive, he is not inviting you into a pre-programmed matrix; he is inviting you on an adventure of a lifetime.

Loving Father, I praise you for the promises of God, and the love-filled personal adventure of learning to live by faith based on the promises of God.
