Upper Room to the Nations Part 2

Upper Room to the Nations Part 2

"Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul." Acts 13:2

God intends every upper room to touch the nations.

The first upper room built by Jesus in Jerusalem became a nation reaching upper room within a few hours of being filled with the Holy Spirit. The upper room in Antioch similarly would become the sending base for every mission trip for the apostle Paul.

Paul, Barnabas, and a small group of prophets and intercessors gathered in the upper room of Antioch for one reason—to minister to the Lord with fasting and prayer. They received not only an encounter with Christ, but a commissioning into a missional life.

In one way or another, every Christ encountering upper room results in activating our calling and fulfilling our life purpose on mission with God. The pattern is unmistakable—from the Christ encountering upper room to the nations.

If we are serious about reaching the final unreached people on earth, we need to get serious about rebuilding the Christ-encountering upper room.

Father, today build my Christ-encountering upper room. Gather with me in the upper room and thrust me out of the upper room to fulfill Your purposes on earth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
