Cornerstone

Cornerstone

"The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone." Psalm 118:22

Stones that are not the right size, or don't seem to fit, are rejected and thrown into the scrap heap. They are considered useless to the builder.

The cornerstone, on the other hand, is the preferred stone, given the place of honor and prominence, that actually makes sense out of the entire structure.

Christ is both the rejected stone who initially didn't seem to fit, and yet also became the Cornerstone, given the place of prominence, and every other stone in the entire house works off of him. Every other stone only knows its proper place in the edifice when it finds its place in relationship to the cornerstone.

Learn from Christ. Just because you may have been rejected and didn't seem to fit, doesn't mean you won't find your strategic place in the building of Christ's kingdom.

You will only find your distinct place in God's house, as you live in relationship to Christ, the Cornerstone.

Lord Jesus, I worship you as the Cornerstone, and I honor your place of prominence. Show me my place in your house in relation to you.
