Ascended One
Ascended One
"You ascended on high, leading a host of captives in your train and receiving gifts among men." Psalm 68:18
Feast your eyes on Jesus today.
Today Jesus is not a baby in Bethlehem. He's not a mangled body hanging on a cross. And he's certainly not a corpse in a crypt. Today Jesus is the Ascended One, glorified, exalted, seated, and reigning on his throne.
The Ascended Christ is the one to whom you pray. He's the one who is pouring out his Holy Spirit, activating the spiritual gifts, interceding in prayer, and preparing to return to earth a second time.
The Ascended One is Christ today.
Lord Jesus, Ascended Christ, I feast my eyes on you. I receive from you my authority in Christ and I receive the fresh outpouring of your Holy Spirit.
