A Winning Combination
"Give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name." 1 Chronicles 16:8
Give thanks to the name and call on the name--it's a winning combination. When you give thanks, you're giving. When you call, you're receiving.
The name of the Lord appropriately sits over every blessing, and the name of the Lord sits under every request you make to God.
The name of the Lord is the source of every good and perfect gift, so it is only appropriate to use his name when you petition, as well as when you praise.
Take time to now give your praise to his name, and then make your petitions and receive in his name.
Father God, your name is great and greatly to be praised. I declare your name over each of my blessings, and I now call on your great name.
