I Come In The Name
“You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts." 1 Samuel 17:45
Retreat is not in God's vocabulary, and it shouldn't be in yours either.
Don't be intimidated by the devil or anything he throws at you. You are better than that. You have the name.
When David faced the big brute Goliath, he didn't flinch. He didn't back down. In fact, David couldn't for a moment understand why everyone else was cowering in fear at the giant's intimidation tactics. After all, God's people had the name.
No matter what giants you face today, don't you dare back down. Of course, the enemy will contest the ground God is calling you to gain. When new ground is contested, it is confirmation that God is with you.
All you need in order to keep moving forward is the name. When you come in the name of the Lord, you come with God's blessing and his favor.
Father God, I come in the name of Jesus. I will not back down. When the enemy contests the ground, I will not fear. I will advance. I will be victorious.
