My Goodness, My Name
“I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The LORD.’" Exodus 33:19
God is so eager for you to experience his name, he will do just about anything.
For Moses, God made all his goodness pass before him, and then stood right in front of him in order to proclaim his name.
For the rest of us, he did one better--he sent his Son.
There has never been a clearer, more accurate manifestation of all God's goodness and his name than the incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
When God made all his goodness and his name known to Moses, it was a precursor to what God did for all of us through his Son.
The incarnation shows you just how much he wants you to appreciate his name.
Loving Father, I hallow the name of your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In him you have manifested all your goodness and the splendor of your name.
