The God of Bethel
The God of Bethel
"I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and made a vow to me." Genesis 31:13
God is in the process of putting his name on every square inch of planet earth, and he does it by manifesting his presence to his people in real time and in specific places.
When God identified himself, I am the God of Bethel, he followed it with the explanation, where you anointed a pillar and made a vow to me.
It was at Bethel where God dramatically manifested his presence to Jacob, and Jacob would never be the same. Now God has no problem identifying himself as the God of that unforgettable, life-changing place. He is the God who forever marked that spot, just like he wants to mark the spot where you are currently sitting.
When God identifies himself as the God of Bethel, he is saying, I am the God who marks the earth with my presence.
I am the God of New York, the God of Atlanta, Chicago, London, Beijing, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Johannesburg, and the village or city in which you currently live.
Encounter God's manifest presence now, and God will mark your area with his name.
God of Bethel, come and mark my place. Manifest your presence to me now and mark this space with your name.
