The God of Isaac
The God of Isaac
“I am the LORD, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac." Genesis 28:13
God has no grandchildren.
Your mom may know Christ. Your dad may know Christ. Having Christian parents is one of the greatest blessings in life, but their relationship with Christ does not replace your need to know Christ personally.
When God introduced himself to Isaac, he introduced himself as the God of his father, Abraham. Now when God introduces himself to Jacob, he introduces himself as the God of his father, Isaac.
Fathers and mothers can introduce us to Christ, but then we must establish our own love relationship with Christ.
Isaac needed to come to know God for himself, and he did.
Now Jacob is establishing his love relationship with God as well.
What about you--have you established your love relationship with Jesus?

The God of Isaac is calling.
God of Isaac, I come. Eagerly. Wholeheartedly. Affectionately. You know me. You love me. You chose me as you chose Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This is my time and I come in Jesus' name.
