The God Who Sees

The God Who Sees

"She called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, “You are a God of seeing [El-Roi].” Genesis 16:13

We often feel invisible. Overlooked. Even rejected or abandoned.

There is nothing that conquers loneliness, rejection or abandonment faster than the name of God.

When the single mom Hagar felt rejected by the father of her son and despised by his wife, God touches her wound with his name. He manifests himself to her as El-Roi, the God who sees.

When you feel alone, rejected, abandoned, despised, God has a name for you. Receive God's name El-Roi, the God who sees. You are not alone. You're not forsaken. No one else may see you, but God sees you.

Jesus, today I take you as El Roi, the God who sees--who sees me. I break off the spirit of rejection and I receive your love and your presence.
