God’s Name At Night
"I remember your name in the night, O LORD." Psalm 119:55
There are significant benefits to declaring God's name at any time, but there are distinct advantages when you declare God's name at night.
At night you lock the doors, turn on a nightlight, and grab a blanket. You want security, comfort and warmth at night.
More than referring to the twelve hours after the sun goes down, night represents the unknown, danger, and threats. Night represents fear, intimidation, and impending crisis.
At night it's easy to be confused, lose your bearings, or get lost. Noises seem louder, problems seem bigger, threats seem more urgent.
For all these reasons, there is nothing you need more at night than the name.
Don't forget God's name at night.
Whatever your night is, use God's name and it will change everything.
Father God, in my night I remember your name. Your name enlightens my confusion, it dispels my fears, and shrinks my threatening circumstances in Jesus name.
