Your Name – Your Praise
"As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth." Psalm 48:10
Just as the name of God already reaches to the ends of the earth, so we want God's praise to reach every square inch as well.
There are places on earth today of war and bloodshed, famine and disease, abuse and injustice. These places desperately need the name and praise of God.
There are places of sorrow, pain, loss, rejection, and alienation in your own life that also desperately need the name and praise of God.
In fact, there is no greater need you have today than for the name and praise of God to extend into some of those broken places of your life.
Take time now to welcome God's name and praise into those places of your life.
Then you can also take a moment to declare his name and his praise over distant places.
Yes, Father God, I hear you knocking on those broken places in my life. Though it feels awkward, I open the door to these tender areas and welcome your name to come in to manifest your presence and to heal me, that I might praise your name.
