Let’s Not Forget

Let’s Not Forget

"We had forgotten the name of our God." Psalm 44:20

There are only a few reasons you forget your name--amnesia, dementia, Alzheimer's, to name a few. There is only one reason you forget God's name--sin.

Sin can be defined as forgetting God's name.

We are devoting this entire 2026 Year on Fire to the name of God for a reason--because rediscovering the name of God is the heart of revival, and revival is the greatest need in the church.

For too long the church has at best marginalized the name of God, and at worst forgotten it.

Forgetting the name of God is sin, and rediscovering the name of God is purifying and reviving, because the name of God doesn't lead you to an encounter, the name of God is an encounter with God.

Father God, I confess the sin of forgetting your name. In the name of Jesus I receive your forgiveness and I receive a fresh infusion of grace and Holy Spirit to elevate your name.
