For The Fame Of God’s Name
For The Fame Of God’s Name
“I have heard your prayer and your plea, which you have made before me. I have consecrated this house that you have built, by putting my name there forever." 1 Kings 9:3
God has permanently put his name on his house of prayer. This means that when you cooperate with God to build his house of prayer, he will permanently put his name on your prayer life.
When Solomon stopped talking to God, God started talking to Solomon, and what a mighty statement God made! No sooner did Solomon complete his prayer at the dedication of his house of prayer, that God made the promise, I have consecrated this house that you have built, by putting my name there forever.
Imagine God permanently inscribing his name on your prayer life. Imagine God's reputation indelibly linked to what happens when you pray.
This is, after all, the objective of every healthy, Holy Spirit filled prayer life--to make God's fame and reputation known.
Think of it: God made you for the fame of his name.
You would do well to take this high calling seriously.
Loving Father, stamp your name on my prayer life. I want the time we spend together every day to result in the fame of your name.
