Supreme Love For The Name
Supreme Love For The Name
"Paul answered, 'I am ready not only to be imprisoned but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.'” Acts 21:13
When the name leads you to an encounter with the Lord Jesus, you will love the name supremely. Ultimately. Above all else. You will even love his name above your own life.
When well-meaning Christians tried to talk Paul into avoiding conflict over the name, and take the easy way out, he expressed his supreme love for the name. I am ready not only to be imprisoned but even to die.
Do you have a supreme love for the name of the Lord Jesus?
If it came to it, would you be willing to be in prisoned for the name?
To die for the name?
It's one thing to use the name of the Lord Jesus when you pray. It's another thing to have such a supreme love for the name that would make you willing to die for the name.
When the name means something to you, it will mean everything to you.
Yes! Lord Jesus, I love your name supremely--more than anything. More than life itself.
