What Is His Name?
What Is His Name?
"Then Moses said to God, 'If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, What is his name? What shall I say to them?'” Exodus 3:13
People ask God a lot of questions--some good ones and some not so much. But you can be sure that he loves it when you ask his name.
What is his name? is a question God will always answer. He will answer it accurately. And he will answer it in a way that you can understand.
What is his name? comes from a deep place in your soul, and it represents your hunger for God.
What is his name? is actually a question that God puts in your heart, so that you will seek him and find him.
What is his name? is a question you want to drill down on. It's a question that will take you as deep as you want to go.
There's a big difference between knowing about God, and knowing God. You can know about God from a distance, but when you ask What is his name? you now want to know God up close and personal.
Don't be shy. Ask him. Ask him now. Ask him daily. Make it personal. What is your name?
God is a self-revealing God, and he loves to reveal himself by name.
God, show me your name. I genuinely want to know you, and I want to know you by name.
