One Name

One Name

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” Deuteronomy 6:4

As you declare the excellency of the Name of Christ today, no matter which aspect of the Name on which you focus, remember that his Name is One. "The Lord our God, the Lord is one,” (Deuteronomy 6:4.) The One God is three Persons-- Father, Son and Holy Spirit-- with One Name

Nowhere in the Bible will you read that the Name of God is plural. Nowhere.

While many people today focus on the multiplicity of God’s Names, this is unfortunate. It is true that God’s One Name is expressed in many different ways, but it is dangerous to lose sight of the singularity of the Name of God.

As we have seen, just as a 1000 carat diamond has 100,000 facets, the singular Name of God has 100,000 expressions. While every expression is accurate, don't lose sight that each expression of the Name is connected to the unity of the One true God whose Son is Jesus Christ.

Whatever aspect of God’s Name he reveals to you today, that revelation of his name is your encounter with Him.
